Jack D. Mallette, D.D.S.
Dr. Jack Mallette, a native of Murfreesboro, is excited to return to Rutherford County. The priceless rewards of working with children have encouraged him to open Children's Dentistry of Murfreesboro. Dr. Jack graduated cum laude with a degree in Chemistry from Middle Tennessee State University. He then attended dental school at The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN. While in dental school, Dr. Jack received the Cecily W. Tipton Scholarship and the Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association Award for Excellence. He was also inducted into the Richard Doggett Dean and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Scholastic Honor Society, awarded to students with high moral character and in the top of their class academically.
After dental school, Dr. Jack completed an additional two year residency program to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Tennessee, which is considered to be one of the best programs in the country. During his pediatric dental residency he received extensive clinical, emergency, and hospital training. He performed pediatric dental surgery at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center and Crittendon Memorial Hospital. Dr. Jack also had the privilege of treating children from all over the world at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Dr. Jack is passionate about dentistry and is very active in the dental profession. He holds a specialty license which allows him to practice Pediatric Dentistry in Tennessee. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) with whom he is currently involved in the board certification process.
When Dr. Jack is not caring for children's dental needs, he enjoys fishing, exercising, and is an avid fan of college sports. Dr. Jack is happily married to his wife, Melinda Beckman Mallette, who is a Pediatrician in Murfreesboro at Tennessee Pediatrics. Together they value their family life, and are involved with their church. When they are away from the practice they enjoy traveling, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with family and friends.
